What Listojo collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it.
Listojo, Inc. operates listojo.com from Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, and is the controller of the data described here.
Information you give us
Information collected automatically
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, credit reports, or background check data. Listojo is free to use and does not run tenant screening. We do not sell personal information, and we do not sell or rent inquiry contact details as sales leads.
We use service providers to operate Listojo. Each acts on our instructions, receives only what it needs for its specific function, and is not permitted to use your information for its own purposes. The categories are:
| Category of provider | What it receives |
|---|---|
| Hosting and database | Application data needed to run the service |
| Mapping and geocoding | Listing addresses and coordinates |
| Authentication | Your email and name, if you use a third-party sign-in |
| Neighborhood data | Listing coordinates, to return walkability and transit scores |
| Email and SMS delivery | Your email or phone number and the message content |
| Image storage and delivery | Listing photos you upload |
| Security and bot protection | Signals used to tell real visitors from automated ones |
We will name the specific providers in a category on request — email us at the address in section 8.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users. If Listojo is ever acquired, data may transfer as part of that transaction, and we will say so before it does.
Anything you put in a listing is public: the address, photos, description, and any contact details you add to it. Your username appears on listings you post. Search engines can index public listing pages. Do not put information in a listing that you would not want indexed. Inquiries and chat messages are private between you and the other party.
Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including the right to know what we hold, to correct it, to delete it, and to appeal a refusal. Residents of other states may have comparable rights. We honor these requests regardless of where you live.
We keep account data while your account is open, and listing and inquiry records for as long as needed to operate the marketplace and meet legal obligations. Deleted listings may persist in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
Traffic is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, session cookies are secure and HTTP-only, and the database is managed with encrypted storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Listojo is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
If we make a material change to this policy we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
